While Lin’s personality and beliefs are puzzling, let’s not forget that Toph is the one who started the metalbending police force. The real question is how the hell did Toph go from rebel to cop? I have yet to come up with a plausible theory for this one.

I don’t think she was necessarily a cop. I think she trained all the cops and made them awesome. Plus, as she says in The Promise Part 2, she loves yelling at people.

I’ve seen a lot of comparison between these two villains on Tumblr. Amon is the masked antagonist creating an antibender revolution in The Legend of Korra, while Slade is the mysterious villain out to destroy the heroes in Teen Titans. With The Legend of Korra being a new series, not much else is known about Amon, however the character of Slade appears in all five seasons of Teen Titans, fitting into every story arc. The identity of Slade was never revealed on the show, leaving fans guessing at who was behind the mask. However in the DC comics universe, this character’s real name is Slade Wilson. He fights under the alias of Deathstroke the Terminator.

Freaking love this comparison.
